Chains & rings
What is your gold jewellery worth in Canada?
Enter the weight and karat of your chain or ring to see its melt value at today's live gold price — and the range a Canadian gold buyer would realistically offer.
Canadian gold buyers typically pay 70–85% of melt value for scrap jewellery to cover refining and margin. Get several quotes — offers vary widely between buyers.
How the value is calculated
Melt value is the weight in grams multiplied by the gold content of your karat and today's live price per gram. A 15 gram 14K chain contains 8.75 grams of pure gold; the rest is alloy metals with little value.
White gold is valued identically to yellow gold of the same karat — read why white gold is worth the same. For karat prices per gram, see the 14K gold price page.
